Public Works Department Minister Satish Jarkiholi has stated that a special legislature session should be convened to discuss the Socio-Economic and Educational Survey Report. Speaking to the media, he said it would be beneficial to have an open platform for such an important topic. "If there are doubts or accusations regarding the survey data or its methodology, let them be addressed in the Assembly. A detailed discussion will remove confusion, and the people of Karnataka can understand the findings clearly," he said.

When asked about Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s meeting with Vokkaliga MLAs, Jarkiholi said there was nothing wrong. “Shivakumar is a Vokkaliga leader. If he discusses the report with community members, it’s understandable,” he remarked.

On the BJP and JD(S) holding a Janaakrosha Yatre against the state government, the minister questioned its logic. He pointed out that the central government is responsible for the rise in petrol, diesel, gas, and other essential item prices. “So, how is it fair to protest against our government?” he asked. Taking a dig at the BJP, he said the protest should be directed at the central government instead.

Jarkiholi also shared that CM Siddaramaiah has written to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, urging him to release water from the Koyna reservoir into the Krishna River to ease the drinking water crisis in border areas.
