The city is gearing up for the 87th All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelan. More than 10,000 people participated in the Run for Kannada marathon held to promote the conference on Tuesday morning. The run took place from the district stadium to Sanjo Hospital. Actors Dolly Dhananjay, Ninasam Satish, Sapthami Gowda participated and attracted attention.
Speaking at the launch of the marathon, Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy said, the youth and citizens of our district should have this same enthusiasm till the evening of December 22. Many Kannadigas from the state, country and abroad will come here that day. May this program inspire those Kannadigas."
