The birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, was celebrated with devotion and grandeur by the Sri Sumatinath Jain Swetambar Murti Pujak Sangh. The Mahaveer Janm Kalyanak Mahotsav brought together thousands of devotees for a day filled with spiritual activities and community unity.

The celebration began early at 7:30 a.m. with a peaceful Abhishek Puja at Mahaveer Bhavan, where devotees performed rituals and offered prayers for peace and spiritual growth.

A grand procession followed, starting from the Shri Sumatinath Jain Temple. It included a decorated Rath of Bhagwan Mahaveer, Indradwaj, and a palanquin, accompanied by devotional music and chants. More than 3,000 people, including members of the Mahila Mandal in uniform, joined the colorful procession through Mahaveer Nagar, Irwin Road, and Ashoka Road before it ended at Mahaveer Bhavan.

At the conclusion of the procession, the Jain flag was respectfully hoisted by Sangh Secretary Kantilal Gulecha, Treasurer Parasmal Sanghvi, Youth Association President Jay Salecha, and other leaders.

The day concluded with a Dharmasabha at Mahaveer Bhavan, where speakers reflected on the teachings of Lord Mahavira. Members of the Sumatinath Mandal, dressed in uniform, participated with discipline and devotion.
