Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized the vital connection between law and order, investment, development, and job creation. He stressed that maintaining peace is crucial to addressing unemployment and fostering economic growth.

Speaking at the Police Flag Day celebrations at the Koramangala Parade Ground, Siddaramaiah awarded the Chief Minister’s Medal to officers, including those whose honors had been pending for three years. Congratulating the recipients, he urged them to serve as role models, displaying efficiency, professionalism, and integrity.

The Chief Minister highlighted the rise in cybercrimes due to technological advancements and called for using the same technology to counter them. He reiterated his goal of making Karnataka drug-free and urged the police to intensify efforts to dismantle drug networks.

He noted that crime rates have been declining over the past two years and should continue to drop further. Praising Karnataka’s police force, he mentioned that even German leaders have commended their skills and professionalism.

Siddaramaiah assured the police department of the government's support in meeting their needs while warning that negligence in duty would not be tolerated. He urged officers to strengthen the police beat system, curb hooliganism, and maintain public order. The government, he said, is committed to implementing all promises made in the previous budget for the welfare of the department and its personnel.

The event was attended by Home Minister G. Parameshwar, DGP Alok Mohan, Additional Chief Secretary Umashankar, and other senior officials.
