Mysuru — Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar has expressed deep shock over the tragic deaths and injuries of fans during the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) victory celebrations in Bengaluru.

In an official statement, Yaduveer criticised the state government for its lack of preparedness. “Despite being aware of the public’s enthusiasm for RCB, the event was hurriedly organized without proper planning or crowd management. This led to an avoidable tragedy,” he said.

Calling it a failure of governance, he added, “This is not merely a lapse in security, but a complete administrative failure. The government could and should have prevented this disaster.”

Yaduveer extended his condolences to the bereaved families and urged the state to accept responsibility. He also called for immediate measures to prevent such incidents in future celebrations or public events.

Public pressure continues to mount as voices grow louder demanding accountability.
