Jyothi Krishna Hebbar officially assumed charge as the president of the Udupi District Mahila Congress during an installation ceremony held on July 4 at Sri Narayana Guru Auditorium, Bannanje. The event also marked the induction of newly elected office bearers.

Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress president Sowmya Reddy, speaking at the event, stressed the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots. Congress has always supported women’s empowerment. It is now time to create a model organisation that reaches every doorstep and spreads awareness about our guarantee schemes, she said.
