Inter-district bike theft case, accused arrested, 18 bikes worth 7.40 lakh seized

The City Police have arrested an accused in connection with inter-district bike theft cases, who was absconding by stealing two-wheelers in broad daylight, and have seized 18 bikes worth Rs. 7.40 lakh from him.
The accused has been identified as PK Bhaskar (48), a resident of Housing Colony in Gangavathi town in Koppal district, and was working as a driver by profession. Police said that he is accused of stealing bikes in Devanahalli, Tumkur and Chikkaballapur.
On May 21, Krishnamurthy of Chikkaballapur city had parked his bike in the municipal council premises and gone inside the office. By the time he returned, the bike had been stolen. He had filed a complaint in this regard at the City police station.
SP Kushal Chowkai, ASP B Jagannath Rai, DySP S Shivakumar, Circle Inspector M Manjunath, PSI SM Amar PSI Ratnabai, staff Lokesh, Fakirappa Gondi, Madhusudan, Lakshman, Ayub Mula, Narendra Kumar, District Police Office technical staff Ravindra, Munikrishna, the team succeeded in arresting the accused in the case.
Cases have been registered against the accused Bhaskar at Devanahalli and Chikkaballapur city police stations. The police have seized 18 two-wheelers of different companies worth Rs 7,40,000 from the arrested person.
