In a recent statement, Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khadar addressed the multiple threats he has received over the past few months, including life-threatening calls from various sources, some allegedly linked to underworld elements. Khader clarified that he has been receiving these threatening calls intermittently, which he considers serious and warrants attention.

Reacting to a statement by journalist Anupama Shenoy, who claimed that UT Khader had received death threats from the Popular Front of India (PFI), the Speaker dismissed such allegations, clarifying his stance. Khader said, “There is no need to establish an NIA office in Mangalore for my sake. If it is for the benefit of the district's people, then let it be. Where I was born or where I am destined to die is written by God. I pray to God to grant me the peace to die peacefully. Whatever happens, it is in God's hands, and I have no control over it.”

During the same speech, Khader strongly condemned the recent attack in Pahalgam, which drew widespread outrage. He emphasized that such acts of terrorism and violence have been condemned by all, and stressed that the perpetrators must be identified and dealt with severely. He called upon the central government to take strict action against those behind the attack and ensure justice for the victims. Khader asserted, “The people of the country expect nothing less from Modi’s government. The government must not only catch the terrorists but also dismantle the networks and those backing such heinous acts. It is the responsibility of the central government to uphold justice for all citizens, not just the victims of the attack.”
