HAVERI –

A teacher is not just a dispenser of knowledge but the true creator of a progressive nation, said Siddalinga Swamiji of Siddalinga Shivayogi Viraktamath, Arakere. "If God creates the world, a teacher shapes the soul of a nation," he declared, speaking at a religious and cultural celebration held at Arakere Guru Kottureshwara Math.

The event featured Siddalinga Swamiji Tulabhara, Pada Puja, Ambari Mahotsava, a blood donation camp, and a Dharma Sabha. Saints including Shivayogi Deva of Belgaum Karanji Math, Shiggavi Sanganabasava Swamiji, Shivayogi Swamiji of Gudda Anveri, and Basavananda Swamiji were present and offered blessings.

The concluding ceremony of the three-day Basavadi Sharan discourse, led by Shivayogi Deva, was followed by ceremonial rituals including foot worship of the saints. A special puja was also performed to Gurukottureshwara and Danammadevi idols in the morning.

A highlight of the event was the Ambari Utsav of Siddalinga Swamiji, which started at Basaveshwara Temple in Doddapet and passed through the main streets before culminating at Guru Kottureshwara Math. Hundreds of women carried sacred Kumbhas, lending the event a grand spiritual aura.

Cultural performances were held by artists Anand Patil and Mahantesh Swami Chikkamatthi, while 22 youth donated blood at the health camp.

Notable attendees included former MLA D.R. Patil, Eknath Banuvalli, Vishwaradhyaswamy Ajjodi Math, and several other dignitaries and seers from surrounding religious institutions.
