The Teppotsava of Lord Nanjundeshwara at Nanjunagud was celebrated with great enthusiasm, joy, and devotion on Friday night as part of the historic Gautama Panchamaha Rathotsava festival, held along the Kapila River.

The festival featured the ceremonial procession of the Utsava Murti of Lord Shrikanteshwara, beautifully adorned with diamond jewelry and colorful flowers, brought from the temple and placed at a pavilion near the Kapila River for special worship.

Following this, the Utsava Murti was placed in a decorated mechanized boat designed like a floating temple, embellished with colorful flowers and electric lights, and the Teppotsava was conducted grandly with the accompaniment of auspicious musical instruments.

Thousands of devotees celebrated as the Tepotsava of Lord Nanjundeshwara performed three circumambulations in the Kapila River, facing east-west. This mesmerizing sight allowed devotees to express their deep devotion and spirituality.

At the same time, on the opposite bank of the Kapila River, thousands of devotees from surrounding villages, including Hejjige village, gathered and celebrated by bursting colorful firecrackers, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

After the Teppotsava concluded, the Utsava Murti was taken in a procession through the streets of Nanjanagudu. The entire area surrounding the Kapila River and the temple was illuminated with electric lights. Devotees from Nanjanagudu and various parts of the state flocked in large numbers to witness and partake in the Teppotsava of Lord Nanjundeshwara.
