HESCOM AEE transfer sparks war of words

 An incident took place at the Taluk Panchayat KDP meeting where MLA Satish Sail lashed out at senior Congress MLA RV Deshpande, without naming him, for allegedly transferring HESCOM Department AEE Veeranna Shebannavar without his knowledge.

MLA Satish Sail lashed out at the taluk KDP meeting for not appointing an AEE to the HESCOM office in Karwar. He hurled insults at senior officials over the phone, saying that AEE Veeranna Shebannavar, who was working in the department, had been transferred and no other officer had been appointed to that position.

Satish Sail, who called HESCOM Managing Director  during the meeting, demanded, did I ever tell you to transfer someone to Haliyal.   First, appoint someone else to Karwar. If not, call back the person who was transferred. The officer in Sadashivagad has been appointed in charge of Karwar. Can he work everywhere? It is not right to transfer someone because someone said it, someone put pressure on him. I know the call came from Haliyal. I will not encroach on anyone else's territory. Someone in Haliyal should send the officer to Karwar.

Speaking to the media about this, Sail said, I am not against the transfer. But I am against the transfer to Karwar without appointing someone else. Some people put pressure on the HESCOM department officials and transferred the AEE who was working in Karwar. Some people went and transferred to show their dignity. But they do not know whether people are dying or not here. We can poke our noses in. But we will not do such things, indirectly expressing dissatisfaction with senior district politician RV Deshpande.
