ZP CEO Inspects Yalladakere School, Stresses Student Safety

During a visit to Morarji Desai Residential School in Yalladakere village, Hiriyur Taluk, on Friday, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer S.J. Somashekhar stressed the importance of ensuring student safety, health, and overall well-being in residential schools.

As part of his inspection, Somashekhar closely examined the school's infrastructure, including classrooms, hostel facilities, and the general cleanliness of the campus. He highlighted the need for a clean and healthy living environment for students and urged school authorities to prioritize hygiene and sanitation.

The CEO directed the principal, teaching staff, and hostel wardens to make sure that students receive clean, nutritious meals and safe drinking water. He emphasized that student health goes hand in hand with academic success, and both must be given equal attention.

Somashekhar also visited the school’s science and mathematics laboratories, where he interacted with teachers to understand how these subjects are being taught. He encouraged the faculty to adopt engaging and practical teaching methods that spark curiosity and help students grasp complex concepts easily.

In addition, he reviewed student attendance records, academic progress reports, and other official documents related to school operations. He stressed the importance of proper documentation and regular monitoring to ensure accountability and progress.

Accompanying him during the visit were Joint Director of the Social Welfare Department Jagadish Hebbali, District Scheduled Caste Welfare Officer Divakar, and school principals K.B. Raghunath, Srinivas Gowda, and Mallesh, along with teachers and staff members.

Somashekhar concluded the visit by urging everyone involved to work collectively to create a safe, supportive, and academically enriching environment for all students. He assured the school of continued support from the district administration in addressing challenges and improving facilities.
