Promote health by using sorghum; Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy calls to promote health by using sorghum. He spoke while inaugurating the Millet Tintira discussion and awareness program organized by the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with various organizations at Christ College Hall in the city. Cereal is highly nutritious and helps in building a strong body and mind. He said that the youth community should use it more and make the public aware. Cereal is a perfect food and its demand is increasing in the global market as well. Students also said that it is better to avoid junk pudding and use millet every day. Cereal is a low-cost, low-water crop. Since 2013, the Government of Karnataka has implemented many schemes for its encouragement. He said that fairs are being organized every year and this time an international level organic and cereal trade fair is being organized at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds on January 5-7. The Minister of Agriculture requested that scientists and experts from all over the country will participate in this fair and the public should participate in large numbers and take advantage of it. Christ University Chancellor Father Dr. Joseph said that it is a great honor to have a farmer's son as the Minister of Agriculture in the state. He said that he has been using cereal twice a day for many years and it is very helpful for health. Agriculture Commissioner YS Patil, Director Dr. G. T.
