Guest Lecturers Stage Torch March In Mandya, Demanding Permanent Service

The guest lecturers working in the first class colleges, who are busy with class boycott and strike demanding permanent termination of service, held a flag march in Mandya on Wednesday evening. From Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar circle of the city, the guest lecturers took out a procession with a torch and marched to the Collectorate office shouting slogans that the service should be permanent. The guest lecturer, who has been living a difficult life by working for low wages for the last two decades, said that despite protesting for the last one month for service security, the ruling government is not responding to the hardship. The Congress party had promised in the election manifesto, but even after half a year has passed since the government came into existence, the government is counting on Meena Mesha to keep the services of guest lecturers.
