The government has indulged in looting on many occasions. It is making tenders illegally. It is giving opportunities to whoever it wants, alleged Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, he said that tenders are placed on the Karnataka Public Procurement Portal. Even when our government was in power, a tender was given for printing marks cards, at Rs. 9.45. After this government came to power, a tender was called for the Para Medical Board, and Rs. 100 was asked for printing one marks card. He objected that after negotiations, it was reduced to Rs. 91.
Since the matter came out in some places, they negotiated again and changed it to Rs. 44 for printing a mark card and Rs. 47 for a diploma certificate. They fixed Rs. 44 for an internship certificate and gave a work order.
Director of Urdhv Management Private Limited, Venkata Reddy D Patil, was given this, he alleged, being a close relative or associate of Minister Dr. Sharanaprakash Patil.
The Minister has taken steps to give it to whoever he wants. This is a blacklisted company. There are about 20-25 cases against it. He alleged that the tender was given to such a company.

This work order was given to Urdhva Management Private Limited of Sanjaynagar in the city. When I came to know about this, I wrote a letter to the government secretary on January 8. I drew attention to the violation of the KTPP Act.
There has been no reply so far. They answered the question by saying that this belongs to the account of Medical Education Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy said.
