Goods train derailment disrupts train traffic

Two coaches of a goods train derailed and overturned on Tuesday morning while heading towards Miraj. The train, carrying iron ore to Jindal’s factory, derailed on the outskirts of Belagavi city when it was being switched from one track to another, according to railway officials. This incident has led to disruption in train traffic. Railway police stated that repair work would take approximately four hours. As a result, all trains on the Belagavi-Miraj route have been suspended. Several trains, including the Chalukya Sharavathi Express and the Rani Channamma Express, have been affected.
