The traditional Thootedara ritual, a symbolic fire battle between the villages of Atturu and Kodethuru, took place at the Kateel Durga Parameshwari temple as part of its annual fair. Over 300 devotees participated in the fiery confrontation, throwing burning torches at each other. Following the ritual, prasadam was distributed after the deity's ceremonial abhisheka. This unique tradition is believed to appease the goddess and marks the final day of the annual jatre.
