Field Education Officer Parashuramappa made headlines by actively participating in a road cleaning drive near his office, using a hoe and basket to clear garbage. The cooperative society organized the cleanup at the Sagara Field Education Officer’s office and the nearby Guru Bhavan premises.

A significant amount of garbage, mainly fallen leaves from shade trees, had accumulated around these areas. Due to irregular clearing by the Municipal Corporation, the BEO office and Guru Bhavan were left cluttered with waste. In response, a cooperative group of teachers took the initiative to clean the surroundings themselves.

Malatesh, Taluk President of the Primary School Teachers’ Association, praised the BEO’s hands-on involvement. “The BEO office premises were full of garbage, so we started this cleaning drive with cooperative efforts. The BEO himself led the work, forgetting his officer status and working alongside us, carrying the dustbin and picking up garbage. His dedication is inspiring,” he said.

Thanks to their efforts, the BEO office is now clean. The team pledged to continue such initiatives, encouraging community participation in maintaining cleanliness. The active role of officials like the Field Education Officer and BEO has motivated others to contribute to a cleaner environment in Shivamogga.
