Hundreds of farmers under the banner of Karnataka Rajya Raita Sanghatanegala Okkuta staged a massive protest on the premises of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. Other eight organisations also staged protests for the various demands.
Seven protests were organised at Suvarna Garden and two at the platform near Kondaskoppa. The protesters submitted memorandums to the government and urged them to fulfil their various demands. Apart from this, four more organisations submitted memorandums to the government. In total, 13 memorandums were submitted to the government by various organisations on Monday.
Members of Karnataka Rajya Raita Sanghatanegala Okkuta marched from Chennamma Circle   premises and then staged a protest at a platform near Kondaskoppa. The farmers demanded Rs 5,000 per acre should be given as drought compensation, all kinds of loans of farmers should be waived off, a continuous three-phase electricity supply should be provided for 10 hours a day, the three agricultural acts which are harmful to farmers should be withdrawn, the farmers' crops should be given support prices, employment security should be provided to farmers' children in private and government jobs, all farmers' children should be given free education from primary level to post graduation. The Social Democratic Party of India workers, who had not obtained permission for the procession, were detained by the police en route and released near Ambedkar Garden.
Karnataka State Rural First Aid Doctors' Association staged a protest demanding the task force operation against rural first aid doctors should be stopped and first aid doctors should be recognised for their service on the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana model, first aiders should be recruited in government service. The All Karnataka Freedom Fighters Heirs Association protested demanding to provide reservation in government jobs and schemes to members of freedom fighters' heirs.
