Farmer’s daughter scores 625/625, dreams of medicine

Rupa Chanagouda Patil has secured the top position in the state by scoring a perfect 625 out of 625 marks. A student of Devalapur Government High School in Bailahongala taluk, Rupa was in her grandmother's village in Kabanur, Shiggaon taluk, Haveri district, when the results were announced.
Rupa's father, Chanagowda, is a farmer, and her mother, Latha, is a housewife. They have three children. Rupa's elder sister, Vaishnavi, achieved 90% in her second-year PUC Science exams, while her younger brother, Samarthagowda, is in class 6.
Rupa shared that she dedicated 8 hours daily to her studies, with 5-6 hours of focused study after school. She credits her teachers for their constant encouragement and her parents for providing her the freedom to study. She also believes that understanding the material helped her remember better than rote memorization. Rupa has set her sights on becoming a doctor in the future.
In terms of district performance, Haveri district secured 25th place this year, an improvement from last year's 29th place. Rupa's success is a proud moment for her family, and both her parents and grandmother are overjoyed with her achievement.
