E-office system should be used effectively: DC Vijaya Mahantesh
HAVERI
The e-office system has been implemented with the aim of expediting the work of Revenue Department. This system should be used effectively, said Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Mahantesh Danammavara, instructing officers and staff of Tahsildar’s office.
He made a surprise visit to the Shiggavi and Hirekerur Tahsildar offices in the district and inspected the office arrangements. Later, he held a meeting with the officers and staff. The work of the people coming to the office should be done urgently and on priority. No files should be delayed by keeping them pending. Work should be done without causing any inconvenience to the people, he instructed.
“Documents in the record rooms of the taluk offices of the district are being scanned and digitized. This is a permanent measure to keep records safe. This is a good software for protecting records. The purpose of the software is to protect the records of the common man and make them easily accessible,” he said.
The Aadhaar linking system has been implemented to make land management simpler and more transparent. All taluk revenue departments should submit a progress report within the next week. In case of default, appropriate action will be taken against those concerned. They should perform their duties carefully, he warned. The revenue village and sub-village proposals should be completed as soon as possible. The e-payment account should be promoted in all villages in a movement model, he said.
