In the municipal by-elections held in Raichur, Sindhanur, and Devadurga, Congress candidates emerged victorious, securing one seat each. The JDS candidates faced direct competition, with the BJP relegated to the third position. In the by-election for Ward No. 12 of Raichur Municipal Council, Congress candidate M. Pawan Kumar claimed a resounding victory with 2,627 votes. JDS candidate Mir Abdul Rahim secured 359 votes, while independent candidate Noor Pasha garnered 140 votes. A total of 18 votes were cast for NOTA. The by-election was prompted by the resignation of Vinayakumar, who contested from the city assembly constituency in the previous election. In Sindhanur Municipal Council, Abedabegum G. Munir Pasha, the Congress candidate, triumphed in the by-election for Ward No. 22. Abedabegum secured 744 votes, defeating other candidates, including Mallikarjuna Katgal and M. Mehbooba. The victory margin was substantial, with 478 votes in favor of Abedabegum. Six votes were cast for NOTA. Devadurga Municipal Ward No. 5 witnessed Congress candidate Yankoba securing victory with 387 votes, while the ruling JD(S) party candidate Prabhu received 262 votes. The BJP, facing a significant setback, garnered 133 votes. The Congress candidate emerged victorious with a margin of 125 votes. The municipal by-election results indicate a decisive performance by Congress candidates in Raichur, Sindhanur, and Devadurga, consolidating their position in these local governing bodies.
