BJP leader   R Ashok questioned the love and reverence that the current Congress party has for Mahatma Gandhi, citing that if it existed, they would have named the AICC head office 'Gandhi Bhavan'.

Speaking to media representatives near the BJP office in Bangalore, Ashok said, "Are Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi fighting for freedom like they did during the independence movement? If they had any love and reverence for Gandhi, they would have named the AICC headquarters 'Gandhi Bhavan'. However, it is not even named after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was a key figure in our independence movement."

Ashok's comments come at a time when a fake Gandhi yatra is being held in Belagavi, which has sparked controversy and criticism from various quarters. The Congress party has come under fire for their handling of the situation, and Ashok's remarks are seen as an indirect criticism of the party's leadership.

The Congress party has been accused of using Gandhi's name and legacy to further their own political interests, and Ashok's comments reflect the growing disillusionment among some Congress leaders and workers.

The BJP has long been critical of the Congress party's handling of Gandhi's legacy, and has accused them of exploiting his name for political gain. Ashok's comments are seen as an attempt to highlight the hypocrisy of the Congress party's actions.
