Conduct KAS preliminary re-examination again: BY Vijayendra

The KPSC has done injustice to Kannada medium candidates by awarding marks to only 5 questions despite 79 errors in the 2 re-examination papers of the KAS preliminary examination held recently in the state. BJP State President BY Vijayendra has demanded that the KAS preliminary examination should be re-examined.

Vijayendra, who has written a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah regarding this, said that the examinees had approached the court, unable to bear the constant stumbling blocks of the KPSC. He explained in the letter that as he himself had said in the House earlier, he had said that the injustice done to the examinees would be rectified as soon as the court verdict comes out.

It is extremely irresponsible and shameful that confusion, omissions, and translation errors are recurring in most of the examinations conducted by KPSC. In the past, the question papers of Kannada language examinees were not translated properly, causing outrage among lakhs of examinees.

The commission's move to create anxiety and confusion among KAS examinees by giving faulty questions in Karnataka's mother tongue is inexcusable. Vijayendra has lashed out, saying that the repeated irresponsibility of those concerned is a reflection of the KPSC failure and the state government's incompetent administration.

Currently, the court has allowed 34 candidates to appear for the re-examination. However, it is a fair move for the government to seriously consider the future of the remaining candidates and allow all candidates to write the re-examination. I urge you to take urgent action in this regard. I believe that you will not disappoint the hopes of the young people who are yearning for the opportunity to face the examination with the dream of their great future, Vijayendra has appealed to the Chief Minister.
