City Hilights launches Mysuru Office and exclusive edition amidst dignitary presence

Mysuru witnessed a significant milestone in the regional media landscape with the inauguration of the new office of City Hilights, a state-level English daily newspaper published by IBC World News.
The launch event, held on Saturday amidst persistent rainfall, marked the opening of the publication’s Mysuru office and the launch of a dedicated Mysuru edition.
The new office is situated at 435, Chamaraja Double Road, Chamaraja Mohalla, Mysuru. Though Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was originally scheduled to inaugurate the facility, he had to cancel all engagements in the city and return to Bengaluru due to unforeseen commitments.
The event saw the participation of several dignitaries, with Social Welfare and Mysuru District In-charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Girish Kote, media adviser to the Chief Minister being the first to arrive. He formally inaugurated the new office and launched the Mysuru edition of City Hilights.
He was followed by other prominent figures including Krishna Raja MLA T. S. Srivatsa, Chamundeshwari MLA and former minister G.T. Devegowda, former MP Pratap Simha, State President of the Lok Janshakti Party Jagannath, CEO of Cycle Brand Agarbathis M.R. Suresh, and K.B. Lingaraju from the Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The dignitaries interacted with the editorial team, and conveyed their best wishes to the publication. The mood remained upbeat despite the inclement weather, with visitors acknowledging the importance of regional journalism and the potential impact of the Mysuru edition on local news coverage.
The event was coordinated and hosted by City Hilights Editor P. Sunil Kumar, directors Jesha Sunil and R. Nagaraj, and Mysore Bureau Chief Shyam Sundar Vattam, Senior journalist Sri Lakshmi and Advertisement Manager Kiran were present to receive and welcome the guests.
The launch of the Mysuru edition marks a significant step in expanding the newspaper’s footprint across Karnataka.
