Children skated for two hours on Sunday night in the premises of the city's Mitra Samaj to pray for the souls of the tourists who were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

The Khanabar Skating Club organized a programme to commemorate those who died in the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Around 200 children from the club commemorated the deceased by holding candles, forming a map of India and skating around it.

The programme was inaugurated by MLA Satish Sail by lighting a candle. Speaking on the occasion, Sail said, the heinous act committed by the terrorists by killing tourists is condemnable. We are always with the country's army and the country. The country's land, navy and air forces will teach the terrorists a befitting lesson.

The soldiers of the Kadamba Naval Regiment who are with us are ready to fight, which is a matter of our pride. The terrorists have shown their cruelty by shooting and killing innocent people who had gone on a trip. Let us all Indians be united on this occasion. We should be with the families of the deceased. I am confident that the army will take action to prevent such acts from happening in the future.

Dilip Hanabar of Hanabar Skating Academy said, the children of the academy were upset after the terrorist attack on April 22, and at the insistence of the children, the work of remembering the deceased was done. This is a different programme.

Rajan Banawalikar, Sachin Desai, Seshagiri Mundalli and many others were present on this occasion.
