Cauvery Aarti program blueprint ready in a week: DCM

A committee led by N Chaluvarayaswamy is preparing a blueprint for the Cauvery Aarti program, including the various cultures of the country, and it will be ready within a week. The intention is to hold the programme for Dasara, said Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
On Friday, he inspected the site with public representatives and officials regarding the Cauvery Aarti near the dam of KRS Brindavan Park in Srirangapatna taluk. Later, he held a meeting with the officials and spoke to the media.
The government has decided to provide 292 crore for this Cauvery Aarti, and other departments will provide necessary cooperation in addition to this. At least 10,000 people will be allowed to sit and watch the program. The committee will decide how long the program will be held," he said.
I have already called for tenders for the upgradation of Brindavan amusement park and it has been decided to set up a planning authority there. Four panchayats are being added. The existence of the panchayats will not be affected. Their powers will not be I curtailed, said DK Shivakumar.
Applications have been recewed from 7 organizations for the upgradation of Brindavan Garden, and discussions are underway. The outline for this will be prepared soon. Whatever employment is created in this area, the condition has been made that priority will be groen to the people of the panchayat hans of this area. It has been suggested that these organisations should trion and provide employment to local youth, he said.
