BJP MLC N. Ravikumar has stated that no legislators from the BJP or JDS will be joining the Congress party.

Responding to statements from Congress leaders suggesting that BJP and JDS legislators would join Congress, Ravikumar remarked that the Congress party is making such claims to cover up its mismanagement. He asserted that Congress members are simply having daydreams if they believe that BJP and JDS MLAs will defect to Congress. He further commented, "First, let the Congress focus on retaining the Chief Minister's chair before thinking of our legislators."

Ravikumar criticized the ongoing power struggle between Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar over the Chief Minister position, suggesting they should resolve their issues first. He urged Congress to address the demands of its own legislators and ensure they receive due allocations. He noted that even Congress legislators are dissatisfied with the current government, indicating that it is Congress’s responsibility to pacify its own members before considering the BJP and JDS legislators.

JDS MLC Sharavana also weighed in, saying that Congress is living in a dream. He pointed out that there is a fight going on for the Chief Minister position between the CM and the Deputy CM, and to distract from that, they are claiming that BJP and JDS legislators will join Congress. He emphasized that in any party, minor disagreements may occur, but they typically resolve themselves overnight. Sharavana assured that his party will take care of any small issues and that no one will leave the party.
