The BJP faction is gaining intensity in its political stance, especially with the recent core committee meeting and a session to gather opinions from legislators. The state BJP president, B.Y. Vijayendra, has been conducting a separate meeting, which has sparked curiosity.
Vijayendra's separate meeting took place at the residence of veteran BJP leader and former minister Katta Subrahmanya Naidu. The meeting, led by former minister MP Renukacharya, saw the attendance of former legislators like V. Sampanghi, Roopali Nayak, Harshavardhan, Maadala Virupakshappa, Haratala Hallappa, and B C Patil.
As the Yatnal team is exerting pressure to remove B.Y. Vijayendra from the state president position, a group of his close associates has entered the fray as a counteraction. However, it is noteworthy that current legislators were not seen in this group.
Former legislators, under Renukacharya's leadership, have been holding continuous meetings at Katta's residence. This group is also preparing to meet the high command leaders in Delhi to lodge complaints against the Yatnal team.
While the Yatnal team is intent on changing the state BJP president, Vijayendra's loyal team is discussing how to counter this move. They are also planning to meet with senior leaders to emphasize the necessity of Vijayendra for the party's organizational structure.
For all these reasons, the meetings of the BJP and Vijayendra's team have gained significance. Currently, there is much curiosity regarding which faction the high command leaders will support.
