The National Highways Authority of India has given a big shock to motorists who are evading toll on Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway.

This has facilitated smooth movement of vehicles plying on the toll road. The National Highways Authority of India has been keeping a close eye on drivers who use other routes to evade tolls on the Bengaluru-Mysore National Highway and then enter the highway. There have been complaints that the number of people evading tolls on the Bengalore-Mysuru Expressway route has been increasing day by day. In this context, the Highways Authority has taken action.

In particular, motorists coming from Mysore were escaping the toll gate by entering the service road near Bidadi. The toll road has been closed after many complaints were received about this. This theft has been going on for a long time and finally the brakes have been put on it.

The service road has been closed near Seshagirihalli in Bidadi. Due to this, those coming from Mysore from more than 5 km back have to proceed directly to the expressway. They have to proceed through Bidadi. Similarly, the service road has also been closed near the toll gate near Srirangapatna.

Some motorists travelling on the expressway were not paying the toll at the toll gates near Srirangapatna and Bidadi near Seshagirihalli. After avoiding both tolls, they were reaching the capital Bangalore and Mysore through the service road. As soon as this came to the notice of the authority, the road connecting to the service road on that route was immediately closed and the side roads were blocked, authority officials informed.

The sudden decision of the authority has also angered motorists, who are facing difficulties due to the road closure, causing traffic jams.
