Arsikere–Channarayapatna Rail Work Nears Completion

As part of the ongoing double-tracking project on the Arsikere–Channarayapatna railway route, Deputy Chief Engineer Vairamuthu led an inspection near Uddalakere to review the bridge construction and overall progress. He instructed that the remaining work be completed swiftly, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

After the inspection, Vairamuthu shared with the media that nearly 85% of the track-laying and bridge-related tasks are finished. He assured that efforts are underway to complete the remaining portion quickly. Contractors have been given clear instructions to speed up work without compromising safety.

The inspection included checks at key locations where bridge works, culverts, underpasses, and track alignments are being developed. Vairamuthu stressed the importance of proper coordination between departments to ensure timely completion. He also stated that any technical hurdles are being addressed promptly.

During the visit, the railway team engaged with local residents living near the project site. Public concerns were heard, and officials reassured them that the project is progressing efficiently. They appreciated the community's cooperation in helping the work move forward.

Engineers and officers from multiple departments—such as civil engineering, signaling, electrical, and safety—took part in the visit and offered technical suggestions to improve workflow and resolve site-specific issues.
