GADAG
The Administrative Medical Officers recently organized the Anti-Dengue Month Celebration at Neeralgi Sub-Center of the Primary Health Center, Huilagol, held at Government High School Neeralgi. The event was chaired by Dr. Pritam Kona.
Several local health workers and officials, including Manjunath Jalihal, Nagaraj Joshi, Santosh Gadagina, Sheela Malekar, Savita Pawar, and ASHA staff members S. Vaya and Valmiki Iramma from Kundagol Math, shared their views on dengue prevention and control.
The Anti-Dengue Month program aims to create widespread public awareness about dengue fever, focusing on its symptoms, transmission, and prevention methods. The initiative encourages people to maintain cleanliness in their homes and surroundings to reduce mosquito breeding sites and thereby prevent the spread of dengue.
Educating the community on recognizing early symptoms and seeking timely treatment is also a key focus. The program motivates citizens to take active steps to keep their environment mosquito-free and understand the importance of medical care for those affected by dengue.
By spreading this knowledge, the program strives to reduce the incidence of dengue fever and promote healthier, safer communities across the region.
