In a move that reflects its concern for employee safety and well-being, Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) has organised a two-day free health check-up camp for officers and staff working at the corporation’s headquarters.

The camp was inaugurated on Monday by CESC Chairman and MLA, Ramesh Bandisiddegowda.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Chairman emphasised the need for electricity supply staff to also prioritise their health and safety. This initiative by the corporation is very beneficial in this regard.

On the first day of the camp, hundreds of contract and outsourced employees including data entry staff, drivers, and assistant staff underwent medical tests, reaping the benefits of the initiative.

On Tuesday (May 20), the second day of the camp, medical tests will be conducted for officers and other staff working at the headquarters.

More than 80 medical tests were conducted at the free health camp, including blood tests, thyroid tests, urine tests, FBS, LFT, calcium, and Vitamin B12 and D tests, among others. These tests, which would normally cost around Rs 7,000, were provided entirely free of charge, highlighting CESC’s commitment to the health and safety of its staff and officers.

Ramesh Bandisiddegowda also inaugurated a newly installed elevator at the corporation office.

CESC’s Chief Financial Officer Renuka, General Managers Dr BR Roopa and Lokesh, among others were present.

“CESC has always prioritised the health and safety of its staff and officers. In line with that commitment, we have organised a free health check-up camp for the convenience of all employees and officers working at the corporation office. Several tests, estimated to cost around Rs 7,000, are being conducted free of charge. All staff should take advantage of this and be proactive about their health,” said KM Munigopal Raju, Managing Director, CESC.
