The State Government will hand over 1000 acres of land at a nominal price, Re 1 per acre for a period of 99 years, to a Special Purpose Vehicle to be formed under the PM Mitra Park scheme at Kalabarugi with Cabinet approval. , Sugarcane Development, Sugar and Agriculture Marketing Minister Shivananda S Patil said in the Legislative Council on Tuesday.

Answering member S Tippeswamy's question on spot identification, he said that the central government has approved the construction of an international level textile and ready-made garment park in the state under the PM-MITRA Park project in an area of 1000 acres under different survey numbers of Kirangi, Nadisinnur and Firozabad villages of   Kalaburagi district.

The PM-MITRA Park, which will be built with the help of the Central Government in the state, will reduce logistics costs, attract investment, increase production, employment and export capacity by establishing the entire textile value chain at one place. Developing an integrated large scale and modern industrial infrastructure facility covering the entire value chain of the textile industry. It aims to attract investments and create more jobs to make Karnataka a competitive state in the global textile market. Missions include the pursuit and promotion of sustainable industrialization, the pursuit of innovation, and building resilient infrastructure.
