Zimbabwe's women's cricket team will make history this week with their first-ever tour of the United States for a white-ball series. The tour, running from April 25 to May 3, includes three T20 Internationals and two One Day Internationals (ODIs), all to be played at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas.

The T20Is are set for April 25, 27, and 29, while the ODIs will be played on May 1 and 3. This landmark series is part of Zimbabwe Cricket's (ZC) effort to expand international opportunities for its women's team.

“This historic engagement reflects ZC’s dedication to developing the women’s game across formats,” said the board in a statement.

Zimbabwe and USA last met in Harare in October 2024, and this tour continues their growing rivalry. Head coach Walter Chawaguta described the tour as a key step toward Zimbabwe's July series against Ireland and the upcoming Africa qualifiers.

The 15-player squad features a mix of seasoned players and emerging talent. Veterans like Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano, Josephine Nkomo, and Modester Mupachikwa will lead the team, supported by exciting youngsters like Kelis Ndhlovu and Beloved Biza.

Chawaguta emphasized a long-term focus: “The squad reflects a bigger picture mindset to widen our player base and strengthen competition.”

Zimbabwe Squad: Biza, Chipare, Dhururu, Mabhero, Makusha, Marange, Mthomba, Mugeri-Tiripano, Mupachikwa, Ndhlovu, Nkomo, Pasipanodya, Sibanda, Tshuma, Zimunu.
Reserves: Gwanzura, Ndiraya.
