Sumit Jain re-elected as IDCA President again
New Delhi
Sumit Jain has been re-elected as President of the Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) for the 2025–2029 term. The election, held at the India Habitat Centre, also saw the selection of a new executive committee to advance the association’s mission of promoting deaf cricket in India and internationally. Jain, who founded IDCA in 2020, has been instrumental in giving hearing-impaired cricketers a national platform. Under his leadership, IDCA has gained global recognition as a member of the Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) and collaborates with the International Cricket Council (ICC). Jain also serves as Vice President on the Differently-Abled Cricket Committee of the BCCI. The new executive committee includes Sagarkanta Senapati, Rohit Saini, Sonu, Arun Goel, and others. Jain emphasized plans to improve state-level infrastructure and increase international exposure for deaf cricketers. IDCA continues to host national and international tournaments and camps, promoting inclusivity in sports.
