India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has climbed to the third position in the ICC Women’s T20I batter rankings following her match-winning century against England in the opening game of the ongoing five-match series.

Mandhana, who already tops the ODI rankings, scored her maiden T20I century—an explosive 112 off just 62 balls—leading India to a commanding 97-run victory at Nottingham. The innings included 15 boundaries and three sixes and marked England’s heaviest defeat by runs in T20I history.

Her standout performance not only sealed a memorable win for India but also propelled her to a career-best 771 rating points in T20Is. She now sits just behind West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews (774 points) and Australia’s Beth Mooney, who leads the charts with 794 points.

Other Indian players also made significant gains. Young opener Shafali Verma moved up one place to 13th after scoring 20 runs in the same match. Harleen Deol, who made a quickfire 43, re-entered the rankings at joint 86th.

In the bowling rankings, England pacer Lauren Bell jumped two spots to fourth after her three-wicket haul in the same match. Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal continues to lead the T20I bowlers’ chart, though the top ten remain tightly packed with just 44 rating points separating them.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s Miane Smit climbed to 76th following her maiden T20I half-century against West Indies. Her teammate Sune Luus rose nine places to 31st in the all-rounder rankings. The updated rankings reflect the high competition and evolving dynamics in women’s international cricket.
