New Delhi
Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has been nominated for the ICC Men's Player of the Month for March 2025. His standout performance in the ICC Champions Trophy played a major role in India’s title win.
Iyer scored 243 runs across five matches, including two half-centuries, at an average of 48.60. He topped India’s run chart in the tournament. His best was 79 against New Zealand in the group stage, followed by a crucial 45 against Australia in the semi-final, and a composed 48 in the final, again against the Kiwis. His ability to hold the innings and build partnerships helped India stay unbeaten throughout the campaign.
New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy is another nominee. He had an excellent series against Pakistan in March, picking up 13 wickets in five T20Is at an average of 8.38 and an economy of 6.17. His best figures were 4/14 in Christchurch and 4/20 in Mount Maunganui. He also took two wickets in an ODI at the end of March, finishing with 15 wickets in six matches, and rose to the No. 1 spot in T20I bowling rankings.
All-rounder Rachin Ravindra also impressed, scoring 263 runs in the Champions Trophy and earning the Golden Bat and 'Player of the Tournament' honours, along with three wickets in the competition.
