World number one Scottie Scheffler secured his third major title by winning the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club. He finished at 11 under par after a final-round score of 71, despite early struggles off the tee.

Starting the day three shots ahead of Sweden’s Alex Noren, Scheffler held off challenges from top contenders, including Spain’s Jon Rahm. Rahm briefly closed the gap on the back nine but faltered late, dropping five shots in his final three holes and falling into a tie for eighth place after a 73.

Harris English made the biggest move on Sunday. Starting 11 shots behind, he posted the day’s best round with a 65 and tied for second at six under with Bryson DeChambeau (70) and Davis Riley (72).

Scheffler, who now adds this victory to his growing list of achievements, lifted the Wanamaker Trophy for the first time. His latest win confirms his dominance on the global golf stage and strengthens his lead as world number one.

With his calm composure and consistent game, Scheffler continues to impress, winning his third major in convincing fashion despite final-day pressure from the field.
