The Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) has announced the launch of the Saurashtra Pro T20 League (SPTL), a new franchise-based cricket tournament to be held from June 7 to June 20 at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

During a press meet, SCA President Jaydev Shah revealed the league's full plan. He was joined by officials Himanshu Shah, Shyam Raichura, Karan Shah, and Jayveer Shah. The event will include five teams: Anmol Kings Halar, Aryan Sorath Lions, Dita Gohilwad Titans, Zalawad Strikers, and JMD Kutch Riders.

The players’ draft will take place on May 27, involving around 125 players divided into three categories. Coaches and staff will be selected from the SCA, while some experienced national or international players may serve as mentors.

The SCA has joined hands with Arivaa Sports Private Limited—known for organizing the Bengal Pro T20 League—for operational management of the tournament.

According to Jaydev Shah, the league will give young and upcoming players from Saurashtra and Kutch the chance to gain valuable experience. He said the goal is to develop cricket in the region and create a pathway to top-level competitions like the IPL and Team India.

This tournament marks a big step in taking local cricket to a higher level.
