Roston Chase nears top spot in ICC rankings

West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase has climbed to second place in the ICC T20I All-Rounder Rankings after a brilliant knock against Australia. He scored 60 runs off 32 balls in the first match of the five-game series, reaching a career-best 221 rating points. Chase now trails India's Hardik Pandya, who leads with 252 points.
The updated rankings, released by the ICC on Wednesday, also show movement in other categories. Australia's rising star Cameron Green jumped eight spots to 28th in the all-rounder list after his half-century in the same match.
In the T20I Bowling Rankings, Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman made a big leap. He rose 17 places to enter the top 10, now sharing the ninth position with India’s Arshdeep Singh. Both bowlers have 653 rating points. Mustafizur impressed in Bangladesh's series win over Pakistan, taking three wickets at an average of just seven.
Another Bangladeshi bowler, Mahedi Hasan, moved up nine places to 16th after strong performances in the same series. His best figure was 2 for 25 in a close win on Tuesday.
New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry also made progress. He rose 13 places to 29th after taking six wickets in two matches during the Zimbabwe tri-series.
In batting, West Indies captain Shai Hope reached 670 points and entered the top 10 for the first time, rising to the 10th spot after scoring 55 off 39 balls. Australia's Mitchell Marsh also improved his rank, climbing three places to 23rd with 592 points.
