Rishabh Pant will stay with Purani Dilli 6 for the second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL). The team confirmed his retention as their marquee player ahead of the July 6 auctions. Pant played a key role in the 2024 season, where the team reached the semi-finals but couldn’t play due to rain.

Pant said he’s excited to continue, praising the league as a great stage for young talent. He also thanked DDCA President Rohan Jaitley for running the DPL successfully. Pant mentioned players like Digvesh Rathi and Priyansh Arya, who have grown through this league.

Pant called the team his “home” and said they are more determined than ever to win this year. Team owner Akash Nangia praised Pant as the team’s heart and leader, confident the team can go all the way in 2025.

Two new teams, Outer Delhi and New Delhi, are joining the league, which now has eight franchises. DPL Season 2 will again be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
