The second season of the Pro Panja League will start on August 5, right after the India vs England Test series ends. After a successful first season, fans are eager to see the sport return with even more powerful matches and tough competition.

The league follows an IPL-style format, where city-based teams compete for the top prize. Last season, Kochi KD’s won the final match and were crowned the champions. Season 2 will run for 17 days, featuring top arm wrestlers from across India.

According to BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council), the first season was watched by over 32 million unique viewers. This strong viewership beat several other new sports leagues in the country. With such popularity, the second season is expected to grow even bigger.

Parvinn Dabass, co-founder of the league, said he was very happy with the support they received. “Arm wrestling has grown fast since the league started. More fans are now watching, and the players are getting better,” he said. He added that the league recently held a showcase match in Mizoram, where 15,000 to 20,000 people attended.

Dabass believes this season will be even larger in scale. He said arm wrestling is no longer just a hobby or a casual game — it is now a serious sport. With better-trained athletes and more excitement, the Pro Panja League aims to become a regular part of Indian sports.
