The 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) will be played across four cities — Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, Chennai, and New Delhi starting from August 29, organizers announced on Thursday.

The opening matches will see Telugu Titans take on Tamil Thalaivas, while Bengaluru Bulls will clash with Puneri Paltan. Both matches will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The league returns to Visakhapatnam after seven years. The coastal city last hosted PKL games in the sixth season in 2018 and was also part of the first and third editions. This return is seen as a special homecoming for kabaddi fans in Andhra Pradesh.

The second leg of the league will move to Jaipur, beginning September 12. Matches there will be held at the Indoor Hall of the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. This venue made history last season by hosting the 1,000th PKL match.

Chennai will host the third leg from September 29 at the SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium. The fourth and final leg before the playoffs will be played in New Delhi at the Thyagaraj Stadium from October 13.

The schedule for the playoff matches will be revealed later, the organizers added.
