With excitement building for Season 4 of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL), teams have announced their player retentions ahead of the big auction on June 8. Twenty key players have been retained across franchises as they prepare their squads for the upcoming season.

Each team could retain up to three players before the auction. This rule allows teams to keep their strongest players and build their squads around them. The Season 3 MVP Jerome Vinith is expected to be one of the biggest names at the auction in Kozhikode.

Ahmedabad Defenders have kept setter Muthusamy Appavu and attacker Nandhagopal S. Bengaluru Torpedoes retained attacker Sethu TR, middle blocker Mujeeb MC, and libero Midhunkumar B. Chennai Blitz held onto young universal Dhilip Kumar, while defending champions Calicut Heroes retained Vikas Maan and Ashok Bishnoi.

Delhi Toofans locked in setter Saqlain Tariq, libero Anand K, and attacker Anu James. Hyderabad Black Hawks kept Sahil Kumar, John Joseph, and Guru Prashanth. Kochi Blue Spikers chose to retain only Erin Varghese.

Kolkata Thunder Bolts retained Ashwal Rai, now set to play as a universal, along with attacker Rahul K and libero Hariprasad BS. Mumbai Meteors will depend on attacker Amit Gulia and universal Shubham Chaudhary.

Player registration for Season 4 officially began on Thursday. With top stars like Jerome Vinith available, teams are gearing up for an intense auction battle. Fans can expect a thrilling season as franchises aim to form championship-level teams and dominate the upcoming league.
