Indian cue sports legend Pankaj Advani secured his 14th Asian Championship title, adding another gold medal to his illustrious career.

Fresh off his National Snooker Championship victory in Indore, Advani continued his dominance on the international stage, further cementing his status as India’s most decorated cueist.

With this latest triumph, Advani now boasts five Asian snooker titles (across 15-red, 6-reds, and team formats) along with nine Asian billiards titles. He also holds two Asian Games gold medals (2006, 2010).

In the final, Iran’s Amir Sarkhosh, a former IBSF 6-red world champion, took an early lead. However, Advani, known for his composure under pressure, staged a comeback with breaks of 93 and 66, dominating the match with his tactical brilliance.

"Winning my 14th Asian title is incredibly special, especially in snooker. It was a tough tournament, and I’m thrilled to add another gold to my collection," Advani said after his victory.

His latest achievement brings him closer to an unprecedented feat—winning the National, Asian, and World Snooker Championships in a single calendar year, a milestone he has already achieved in billiards.

As he prepares for the World Snooker Championship later this year, the world watches to see if he can create history once again.
