Nepal to host 2026 Women’s T20 Qualifier
Dubai
Nepal will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier from January 12 to February 2, 2026. This major tournament will feature 10 teams competing for four spots at the Women’s T20 World Cup, set to be held in England and Wales later that year.
Nepal and Thailand have qualified through the Asia region, while the USA will represent the Americas. Bangladesh and Ireland have also secured their places in the Qualifier based on past performances. The last five teams will be decided after regional tournaments in Africa, Europe, and East Asia-Pacific. Two teams each will come from Africa and Europe, and one from East Asia-Pacific.
The format includes two groups of five, followed by a Super Six stage and a Final. The top four teams will qualify for the main event.
This marks a big moment for Nepal, hosting its first global women’s cricket tournament. It’s expected to boost the sport’s popularity in the region.
The 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup will run from June 12 to July 5.
