Mumbai City FC will face Bengaluru FC in a crucial ISL 2024-25 Playoff clash at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium today (Saturday). With a 2-0 win over Bengaluru FC two weeks ago, the Islanders are confident but remain wary of their opponent’s strength.

Head coach Petr Kratky and forward Nikolaos Karelis expressed optimism but acknowledged the challenges Bengaluru will present in this must-win encounter. Karelis, who has scored ten goals this season, highlighted the importance of consistency and team support. "It’s crucial to remain consistent and help the team by scoring goals. My teammates and coaches have trusted me, and I want to give them confidence in return," he said.

Kratky emphasized teamwork as the foundation of Mumbai's success. "It’s not just about individual performances; it’s about working as a unit. We all contribute to the team’s success, whether it's assists or scoring goals," he added.

While Mumbai secured a thrilling win over Bengaluru in their last encounter, Kratky warned of a much stronger challenge this time. "Bengaluru will be at full strength and will pose a tough challenge. We need to be prepared for a different game," he said. "They have been a quality team this season, finishing high in the standings for a reason."

With a semifinal spot at stake, Mumbai City FC’s morale is high, and Karelis is confident in his team’s readiness. "Everyone is pushing each other, and we are all motivated to perform. We are up against a strong opponent, but we’ll give it our all," he said.
