Matrix Fight Night (MFN), India's premier mixed martial arts promotion, has revealed a highly anticipated main event for MFN 13. The event is scheduled to take place on October 28 at the Noida Indoor Stadium and will feature a total of 12 exciting bouts. In the main event, India's Shyamanand, who has been on an impressive winning streak with two consecutive knockouts against international opponents, will challenge Featherweight Champion Sanjeet Budhwar for the title in a rematch years after their initial encounter. Shyamanand, hailing from Bihar, earned his shot at the title after a TKO victory over Egyptian fighter Mido Mohamed at MFN 12 on July 1. His only professional loss came at the hands of Sanjeet Budhwar, but Shyamanand has shown significant improvement since then, generating substantial excitement for this highly anticipated rematch. Sanjeet, known as the 'Silent Killer,' claimed the Featherweight Champion title by defeating Atabek Abdimitalipov of Kyrgyzstan in a thrilling five-round bout in December 2022. He has remained undefeated in his last three MFN bouts and aims to continue his winning streak against Shyamanand. Sanjeet expressed his confidence, stating, I feel like I am ready for any challenge that is thrown at me. Shyamanand has risen through the ranks and has earned a title shot. But while he thinks he is ready for me, he will be in for a surprise at MFN 13. Shyamanand is determined to claim the title, saying, I have been waiting to get in the cage with Sanjeet again for a long time. Winning the MFN title means everything because it represents that you are the best among the best. I will give my all to win and become the new MFN Featherweight Champion.
