Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals, led by Siddhesh Lad, won the T20 Mumbai League 2025 title by defeating Shreyas Iyer’s SoBo Mumbai Falcons by five wickets in an exciting final at Wankhede Stadium. The match drew a packed crowd of over 29,000 fans, including legends Kapil Dev, Dilip Vengsarkar, and T20 World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma.

Batting first, the Falcons posted 157/4, thanks to an unbeaten 50 from Mayuresh Tandel and a powerful 45\ from Harsh Aghav. Early setbacks saw key wickets fall cheaply, but the crucial 85-run partnership between Tandel and Aghav steadied the innings. Vaibhav Mali was the pick of the bowlers, claiming two vital wickets.

In reply, the Royals got off to a solid start with Siddhesh Lad and Sahil Jadhav putting on 32 runs. Chinmay Sutar anchored the chase with a fluent 53, building important partnerships with Sachin Yadav and Awais Khan, who scored a quick 38. Despite a late fightback by Falcons’ spinner Kartik Mishra, dismissing both Sutar and Khan, the Royals held their nerve. Rohan Raje sealed the victory with a boundary off the first ball of the final over, guiding the Royals to a thrilling five-wicket win.

Both teams paid tribute to the victims of the Ahmedabad plane crash with a minute’s silence and wore black armbands. Chinmay Sutar received the Orange Cap with 271 runs, while Shashank Attarde won the Purple Cap with 11 wickets. The final was a fitting end to a memorable tournament.
